Dear Friends,
It is my privilege to send our greetings to the Magbit's 19th Annual Gala
Dinner celebrating Israel's 60 years of Independence.
As the Dean of Students responsible for the Student Services Division,
I extend my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the Magbit Foundation
for your continuous support of our students and your profound involvement
with their welfare.
It is our goal and main focus of energy that no student be prevented from
attaining a degree due to financial difficulties. We believe the best way to
fight poverty in Israel and minimize the growing income gap is to enable more
young people of limited means to gain a higher education.
These values start with you, our caring donors who help us to help our students
achieve academic success. Magbit Scholars always stress the importance of the
loan-grants they receive which enable them to focus more on their studies and
worry less about financial difficulties.
On this same note we join you in honoring Mr. David Merage , active leader of
two philanthropic foundations whose primary mission is to promote
self-sufficiency through education and community development in the
United States and in Israel.
We in Israel are deeply grateful to count the Magbit Foundation of Greater
Los Angeles among our devoted friends and supporters.
Very truly
Prof. Yoav Ariel
Dean of Students
