Thank You Letters to Magbit

Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I convey to you heartfelt thanks on behalf of myself and the

Technion's faculty and students for your ongoing warm embrace of the Technion and its mission.

It is the Magbit Foundation's continuous support -for nearly twenty years now-that  has helped

Israel nurture new generations of experts who can lead Israel to the cutting edge of scientific

and technological developments. Your contribution to the promotion of high-quality higher

education in Israel is a significant one, as it has a direct impact on Israel's future.

Nowadays, Israel's security is being put to the test again, as residents of Sderot and Ashkelon

are targeted by the Hamas missiles. Such times of strife and tension are vivid reminders of

the important connection between the State of Israel and its supporters among world Jewry.

The friendship and care expressed by the Magbit Foundation is a prominent example of this

alliance, and for that we are very grateful.

Therefore, I want to take this opportunity to personally congratulate Mr. David Merage on

the occasion of his being honored by the Magbit Foundation for his philanthropic activities

benefiting Jews in the US and in Israel.
