Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Jerusalem College of Technology, it is my pleasure to send you heartfelt greetings on the occasion of your annual Gala event in recognition of many years of the close relationship between JCT and the Magbit of Greater Los Angeles. I would especially like to convey our sincere Mazal Tov wishes to Mr. David Merage upon receiving the special honor of the Magbit Humanitarian award on this special occasion. This award is greatly deserved and may you go from strength to strength in your charitable work and continue to serve as true role model to all around you.
You, my friends who are present at the Banquet of the Magbit Foundation, appreciate the significance of providing the next generation with an academic profession together with the importance of a lasting commitment to the Jewish way of life and to the State of Israel. The Jerusalem College of Technology too is committed to these noble goals. At the same time, JCT prides itself on reaching out to students who would otherwise not have the opportunity to enter higher education. It is this unique relationship and partnership between the Magbit Foundation and JCT that makes it possible, through the special Magbit Loan Program established at JCT, for hundreds of socio-economic disadvantaged students to obtain an academic degree and enter Israel's workforce as successful engineers and managers - benefitting both themselves and their country.
On this special occasion, allow me to acknowledge our sincere thanks to you, our friends in Los Angeles, and to wish the Magbit Foundation of Greater Los Angeles many many more years of success in your great deeds of Tzedaka and in our joint work for the future of Am Yisrael and Jerusalem.
Omi devar hastaam keh shooma rah daar Yerushalaim shahsaan bebinaam!
Sincerely,
Prof. Joseph S. Bodenheimer
